The Toy Poodle is sup-breed of Poodle, an extremely intelligent, loyal breed of water dogs. The lightest-shedding breed of dogs, Poodles are ideal for individuals with pet allergies, and they also excel in numerous athletic activities. Toy Poodles make great watchdogs, but are friendly toward strangers and socialize well with children and other pets. Because they are extremely intelligent and sensitive to their surroundings, Toy Poodles are not recommended for homes with high levels of tension, and may also develop separation anxiety if left alone for long periods of time.
